Q: What are bio-identical hormones?
A: Bio-identical hormones are produced from natural plant sources (Soy and Wild Yam) and professionally compounded to be biologically identical to the human form of estradiol and testosterone.

Benefits of BioTE therapy

Q: What can I expect bio-identical hormones to do for me?
A: Bio-identical hormone therapy can provide the following benefits:
• Increased energy levels
• Restore or increase sexual drive
• Consistency in moods
• No more roller coaster effect
• Relief from anxiety or depression
• Decreased body fat
• Increased mental clarity and focus
• Greater capacity for getting the body in shape

Q: I’ve lost my sex drive, can BioTE therapy do anything to help with that?
A: Optimizing your hormone levels can greatly improve your libido.

Q: I get horrible headaches, can BioTE help me?

Q: If I am a woman, do I still need estrogen?
A: BioTE bio-identical estrogen is the most important hormone for a woman to protect her against heart attack, stroke, as well as osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s. Synthetic estrogen taken orally does not offer the same important benefits.

Side effects of BioTE

Q: Can I grow unwanted hair from BioTE testosterone therapy?
A: There is less chance of hair growth with bio-identical hormones than with synthetic treatments.

Q: Are there side effects to BioTE therapy?
A: Unlike creams, gels and injections, there are very few side effects to BioTE pellet therapy. About 2% of BioTE patients experience mild acne or facial hair, and less than 1% experience hair thinning. All of these side effects are mild and easily treatable. One of the reasons BioTE pellet therapy side effects are so minimal is because BioTE pellet therapy delivers consistent amounts of hormones 24 hours a day, for 4 to 6 months.

What are the “pellets”?

Q: What is hormone pellet therapy?
A: Pellet therapy involves implanting small, plant based pellets beneath the skin. These pellets slowly enter the blood stream at a rate driven by “cardiac output”. This means that as your heart rate increases (exercise, physical labor, etc.) more of the bio-identical hormones are released into the blood stream and when you are resting or relaxing the hormones enter the body more slowly.

Q: Will I need other medications?
A: Some women may need progesterone to protect the uterine lining, unless the uterus has been removed (hysterectomy).

Q: What’s the difference between bio-identical hormone pellets and creams?
A: There are a number of ways that hormone pellet therapy differs from bio-identical creams. BioTE pellet therapy is involves implanting tiny pellets beneath the skin which eliminates the “roller coaster” effect that often comes with using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) creams.

Q: Are the pellets different for women and men?
A: Yes. The pellets are specially formulated to optimize the hormone levels of both men and women.
How much does BioTE therapy cost?

Q: How much does BioTE therapy cost?

Safely used in 5 continents studies have also shown and has been studied for 8 decades, not only looking at safety and efficacy but the prevention of disease states such as breast cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s dementia, Type 2 diabetes and much more.
